BT Industries gives back: Supporting Kuhlekwethu Primary School with a generous donation

At BT Industries, we are passionate about giving back to the communities in which we live and work. As such, we are always looking for ways we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. We also know that one of the best ways to invest in our community is through education, giving the youth the opportunity to gain the skills they need to uplift themselves and embark on a successful life and career path.

With this in mind, we recently identified an ideal beneficiary for our outreach efforts: Kuhlekwethu Primary School. Based in Insimbini, Durban, Kuhlekwethu Primary School provides over 900 learners, 200 of whom are orphans and 673 have a government grant for their schooling, with quality education and recreation activities. Unfortunately, the school lacks the funding to perform some necessary maintenance and construction on their classrooms, and BT Industries decided to lend a hand.

Our donation will assist with their efforts to build and fix their classrooms, helping them create a positive environment for their kids and ensuring that all learners can get the education they need. We hope that this donation makes a meaningful difference in the lives of all that attend and work at the school, and look forward to providing further support to Kuhlekwethu Primary School in the future.

To show their appreciation, the students of Kuhlekwethu created an incredible TikTok video. The entire BTI team was touched by their enthusiasm, and it was great to see the impact our support has had on the children’s lives. Check out the TikTok video here – https://bit.ly/3NlRidd
