BTI’s Bold Step into Renewable Energy: Jethro Annandakrisnan Joins as Business Development Manager – Solar

BT Industries has taken a bold step into the renewable energy sector, appointing Jethro Annandakrisnan as Business Development Manager: Solar. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector, Jethro brings technical expertise, regulatory insight, and a passion for solar to this pivotal role.

Jethro entered the renewable industry in 2013, managing technical and sales teams in inverter, battery, and panel distribution. Over the years, he has built a reputation for combining engineering knowledge with practical, on-the-ground problem-solving. As a registered member of SAPVIA and AREP, he remains closely aligned with the bodies that govern South Africa’s photovoltaic sector, ensuring his work always meets the latest compliance standards.

The expansion of BTI’s renewable energy division is being guided by a new head and a refreshed strategy for growth. The company is well-placed in the market, leveraging its historical strength in supply chain management along with its promise of confidence in supply and quality. “The timing of this market entry is critical for us here at BTI as the recently announced launch of BTI’s China office allows us to confidently scale our market presence in renewable energy,” says Hilton Loring, BTI’s recently appointed Strategic Growth Executive.

The new division aims to tackle one of the sector’s most pressing challenges: inconsistent supply of quality mounting structures. Through strategic sourcing, building strategic partnerships, and guaranteeing reliability, Jethro believes that BTI can quickly establish itself as a trusted name in the commercial and industrial solar market. He emphasises BTI’s focus on delivering quality components, giving clients the peace of mind that projects will not be compromised by pauses in supply.

Beyond his technical expertise, Jethro is passionate about building credibility through customer trust and aftersales support. He envisions a future where BTI is recognised nationwide for quality, reliability, and a customer-first ethos.

When he’s not driving solar growth, Jethro finds balance at home with his wife, children, and two dogs. “My wife is my charger,” he says with a smile – a reminder that even in the fast-paced world of renewable energy, family remains his greatest source of strength.
